Honestly?

We could debate fate and chance until we're blue in the face. I ascribe to chance, personally. But it's already done. Nothing will come of questioning why it happened just what to do with it now that it's happened.

Yeah, you don't strike me as a 'I enjoy being the center of all of this attention' guy. Hopefully this can get resolved with minimum stress on all of us.

... I want to at least make it clear, I have nothing against the Barians. I'm just overwhelmed by the idea that my problem is connected to one of their own. And that I apparently look so much like that one, that they keep staring at me.

I had a perfectly normal life before this. It just involved excavation and research of objects that were possibly dangerous.
