In front of a cafe, sipping on a hot drink, you may see Cyril, pen in hand and scribbling notes. Unlike the last time you might have seen Cyril, he looks... put together. Probably moreso than he has in a while. His hair is the obnoxious 'trimmed but I'm wearing it messy anyway', face clean shaven, and his eyes seem to be a rather intense blue. But, most bizarrely, he's dressed in ancient Babylonian-esque clothes, dyed brilliant blues and purple.

If looked at closer, he's leaving small scorch marks on his cup and pen. Occasionally he will look up from his notes and look around, as if he's nervous or waiting for something. Maybe it's you! It's probably not you, but you should bother him anyway, he probably hasn't seen anyone in months.

Painfully so, Prince. They just yammer away about their petty noble squabbles. Meanwhile the Forest's defenses remain weak at the cost of their own pointless vendettas, and I and the rest of the fairies are exposed to needless danger.

But I'm sure you don't want to listen to my frivolous follies, your highness.

"Nah, this is... kinda important." He furrows his face up.

"Ya guys still at war with that ape fuck? Or is this a different asshole? I'd offer, uh. Somethin', but I'm afraid yer lookin' at my entire kingdom at the moment."

::Shakes her head, her hair bouncing back and forth.::

No, we're not at war.

It's more... I believe the euphemism that works here is "Dick measuring contest".

"...So, my big question. Why ain't ya moved up an' thrown yerself a nice coup yet?"

I don't think anyone's gotten t' try yet. Action Duelin' is really new. 'pparently it's been a thing in a city called Maiami, an' they probably didn't have spirits an' all wanderin' 'bout like 'ere.

He frowns at that, then shrugs.

"Eh, Earth is shiftin'. Give it a few more decades an' most cities 'r gonna be like Domino now."

Prob'ly. It'll be kinda funny when that eventually happens.

Though right now I think folks outside'a Domino are a little wary on monsters.

Thing is, it got really suddenly attacked a while back. No one knows what really did it, but a lot 'f th' news outlets blamed monsters f' it.

It kinda cooled down since then, an' one 'f th' survivors 'f th' whole mess was a reporter and wrote a bunch 'f stuff arguin' 'gainst those claims. But folks're still buyin' that initial wave 'f news, y'know?

"Oh. ... fuck."

He rubs his face at that news, sighing.

"Guess that was... one o' the things I missed while I was fuckin' 'round the twelve dimensions or runnin' through South America."

I think that was th' South America point 'f y'life, prob'ly.

But yeah, it was a real weird thing. Even weirder that it seemed t' start an' end like, almost instantly? Nothin' else happened after that.

I am the top. The issue is they've all rightfully earned their positions. If I went on a bloody revolution, I'd be mad as Zeman and quite possibly showing myself to be corrupted by the Forces of Darkness.

They'd have the basis to pull a coup on me, instead.

"I mean, there really ain't much 'bout me. I was a person o' authority, now I ain't. I got fire, an' I'm a lil' rough." Another laugh and 'uge swig of coffee.

"I'm a lil' curious 'bout the woman 'oo 'ccepted an invitation ta coffee from a weird dude."

"... Huh. I'll... look inta it. Pretty sure some 'round 'ere put a stop ta somethin' o'er there an' the fallout was jus'... messy."

"Ugh, there ain't no easy answer on that. So ya can't pull that. Maybe..." He hrms.

"Do they realize what they're doin' ta the common people?"

They're not doing a thing other than being annoying.

It's just petty complaining and arguing that Green Phantom King has no right to be growing his garden in so-and-so because it infringes on the delicate Black Woods of the Owl Hermit of the Black Forest.

All the while I have to listen to it all.
