Cyril is sitting at a defunct bus stop (day), a park (day), or on the docks (night) in his full form and regalia. To be honest? He looks like shit. Hair is a mess and he's grown out a penance beard that makes him look like a crazy homeless man dressed in Babylonian garb. He mashes buttons on a tablet, muttering to himself as he types. 'Hey nerds, I'm ba-no, that sounds like I dun like this place. Tread the line carefully...' or 'Fuck, I'm sorry I fucked us up, that last duel ya did was pretty fuckin' balls, but I know you can do b-Ugh, fuck that, jus' ain't gonna talk ta 'er.' or! 'Down but never out, the badd-agh, fuck, I am out though. Fire fades an' that 'appy shit...'

Since one of my problems is also about freaking out about things.

So I'm attempting to mitigate the next thing I'd be losing my mind over.

How do you deal with the idea that maybe, or maybe not, that your kid would want to even know that you exist.

That's what I thought.

All I can really do is wait and see what they decide. I already talked to their mother, anyway. Much as I really didn't want to.

But I'm gonna end up having to be around them anyway, since the only alternative is me quitting my job.

No, no. I work at SAI. I'm a Signer. It made sense. They're doing some joint project thing with the schools though, so students are gonna be showing up for stuff.

But yes. At least I'm trying to. Which is harder to do than just running away to Brazil.

"I didn't wanna go ta that place. Fuckin' ogre'd been there before though. Probably has a bastard kid or three runnin' 'round there ta." A sigh.

"He could probably smuggle ya, if ya dun feel like ya can stand yer ground much longer. But I also think yer better than 'e is, at least on this."

What, because I'm at least allowing the chance to let my kid know me, or to decide to not know me?

I mean, either way, I'm really not up to handling them. So it's up in the air if I'm better than anyone else about this. *sighhhhh*

And no, I don't need to be smuggled out. It's not like something is keeping me here.

"Yeah? But if they're in school, ya... missed the 'ard parts. But if it's up ta them, that's... fuckin' nerve wracking." He pauses.

"A sense of duty may be keepin' ya."

Psh, duty. But who knows, maybe. But I can technically do my work wherever? *shrugs a little*

But yes, given what I'm heard, I might be getting off lucky here.

No, no. Apparently it's worse.

But I won't say it since it's the kid's own business. But I'm glad I didn't deal with the fallout of it.

He laughs at that, offering a cigarette.

Probably. I dunno who'd even help in this case. Other than Noriko. And she knows.

Well, yes. Which does make it harder to find new avenues of advice about this.

But, again. She knows about the problem. In fact she knew about it before I did, and swore that she had told me. ... She apologized for that part, at least.

"...Did she... take that memory outta yer... 'ead?" He considers, Samasus. Problems that are the kid's business, not a public safety hazard. Nods to himself. He's probably seen it before.

"Think she's the leading expert on yer family an' teen problems 'round 'ere. Might ask the k-... Guess 'e ain't a kid. Geo. That crew might be able ta 'elp ya out. 'ell, might be able ta 'elp yer kid out."

I'll think about it, at least. It sorta depends on the whole "do they or do they not want to know me" deal, too.

I mean, I kinda expect they don't want to know, but that's me and figuring no one would want to know me.
